Peyia (or Pegeia) is 15 km northwest of Paphos, and is one of the most attractive and friendly villages in south-west Cyprus. It enjoys the advantages of both a quiet rural location, and glorious views of the sparkling Mediterranean and the surrounding countryside.  Properties in the area are sought after and are considered to be eccelent investment opportunities.  Pegeia is ideally located in a moderately developed area of Paphos. The beautiful sandy beaches, the crystal blue sea and the peculiar rock formations are unique to the area . Local amenities and sports include Restaurants, taverns supermarkets, banks, cycling, tennis, horse riding, paragliding, go-karting, swimming and a variety of beach activities. Safaris run regularly to all parts of the island from here . Several family-run taverns and restaurants serve excellent fresh food at competitive prices .

There are also rock-hewn tombs of the Roman period scattered throughout the area. Pegeia is also well-known for its fountains in the stone paved village square. Close enough to Paphos to allow guests to explore the area, the village is located in a delightfully peaceful place, only two kilometers from the wonderful beach of Coral Bay where there are shops, bars, cafés and restaurants.

Facilities in Pegeia are mainly situated on the main road leading into Pegia Village. There you will find a Chemist and a bakery which serves delicious bread first thing in the morning. A butcher is also available. 

There are three banks in Pegeia. All exchange money either British travellers cheques or Cypriot travellers cheques and cash. If you are changing travellers cheques don't forget your passports. Banks are open from 8:30 - 12:30 Monday to Friday. Please be warned the banks are closed on Saturday and Sunday and afternoons. There are no cash machines (hole in the wall facilities ) in Pegeia Village, the nearest cash machine is at Coral Bay.
